Infrastructural Stainless Steel & Industrial Equipment
Marketex Offshore Constructions is an active player on the infrastructural market, providing stainless steel and aluminum constructions for offshore oil and gas, power and energy systems and for marine industry customers. Stainless steel is largely chosen for its corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance. Our stainless steel projects include best welding practices not only with the familiar stainless steel 300 series, but also with more challenging Duplex steel. These are mostly storage, pressure vessels and processing solutions for oil, LNG and Petrochemicals.
Marketex Offshore Constructions manufactures large lifting and handling units in cooperation with the biggest providers of crane and port equipment. The company has also participated in and executed a large number of projects for handling terminals:
- Ship Loaders and Unloaders
- Ship to Shore Cranes
- Container Cranes
- On-Board Cranes
- Gantry Cranes
- Trolley Crane Components
We are a trustworthy partner in supplying units of industrial equipment to leaders in the pulp and paper and wood handling industries. Wood handling conveyors with mechanical installations, debarking drums and other equipment have been delivered to Metso Paper OY, Andritz OY, Raumaster OY for installation at pulp and paper factories in different countries in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.
Marketex Offshore Constructions has participated in infrastructural projects with E. Pihl & Son AS and ED Züblin AG and has delivered three tunnel sections for Stockholm’s metro Citybanan. The total length of the sections made of 10 mm sheet steel was around 300 meters, the total weight was 2 500 tons. Marketex Offshore Constructions has built a steel bridge with one sidewalk to be placed in Copenhagen for the Skovdget highway. The total length of the bridge structures was nearly 234 meters, the total weight was around 2 000 tons.
Stainless Steel & Aluminum
Cost-effective and corrosion resistant materials have a very wide range of uses. Stainless steel is largely chosen for its corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance. It offers a wealth of possibilities for the chemical and petrochemical industry, power generation, transport, industrial machinery and the ship-building industry.
Light weight, high strength, good anti-corrosion properties in saline environments and its high fire resistance makes aluminum especially suitable for various applications including mechanical, chemical, civil and marine engineering disciplines. Aluminum as the choice of material for outfitting both offshore and onshore is increasing strongly: offshore heli-decks, movable bridges, different modules, various aluminum structures. Our aluminum projects include wheelhouses, superstructures, welding frames, glass-metal structures for cruise ships and aluminum towers for offshore energy markets.
Following our on-going development and continuous improvement, stainless steel and aluminum production hall was revamped in 2007. Production area was fully renovated, new cranes with a 40 ton lifting capacity were installed. New bending rolls and cutter were installed. The total area of the production hall is 1 700 m2. The size of the gates is 14.5 x 8 meters. A new heating and ventilation system has been installed which keeps indoor temperature min. +18C even during the coldest winter conditions. We aim to offer a single source solution to our customers’ in-house engineering for tanks and PED vessels.
